Auto Tranny Problems

im having a few problems with my auto tranny. not sure what the cause could be but its starting to get annoying.
only on a warm start i notice that when i put the car in gear it takes the car about 2-3seconds to get in gear. at the same time it makes a clunking noise as if the gears arnt catching properly. after that everything is fine and the car drives like normal.
i have a tranmission cooler installed. a fairly large cooler actually. i was wondering if too large of a tranny cooler can cause this delayed engaging i've been getting. could it be putting a strain on the tranny oil pump and not allowing it to keep up?
any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Go to edgeracingconverter.com . Call Aundre and talk to him . You more than likely dont even need one unless you track your car . He has one that only opens up if the fluid gets to warm and stays closed when its within operating temp . Thats the best way to do it

andre was the guy that sold me it. he never gave me the one you mentioned as an option. i had my tc tweaked by edgeracing and im seriously hoping that its not the cause of my problems.

could be the cooling issue or even the tranny might be slipping....do you abuse your tranny at all? i know you use nitrous right? any neutral drops on accident? or any excessively long power brakes??

i hope its not slipping. wouldnt that mean i need a new tranny? but why does it only do it on warm starts and not cold starts?
i did use nitrous but i havent even touched it since i got the TC mod done. the noise started a month after i got the TC mod done. so nitrous cant be the cause. im too worried to try it with all these problems.
that and to top it off im in detroit and edgeracing is in CA. it'll cost me another $500 in labor to drop the TC and ship it to edge to diagnose. its kinda funny that the TC mod was the first thing i didnt install myself and its the first thing that is causing me problems.
i baby this thing 8 months out of the year, and then theres 3-4 dragstrip trips i make during the summer. its usually the only time i use nitrous because of traction issues on street tires. oh and never any nuetral drops.
i appreciate your input by the way.
