I've only dynoed 8 runs

there was usually a 1-3hp difference between 4th and 5th gear on my runs

i've been dynoing around 268wrhp - which i thought was really low given my mods - i never did a base dyno

hopefully my base dyno at that shop would have been around 212ish - then i'd be right where i think i should be

I have dynoed too many cars to mention here in so many years, and the best gear is the one that is 1:1 in our case 5th. But I have seen (at least with my car and my brothers Z) that 3rd, 4th and 5th the difference in whp is not that appart, been the best 5th.
I have seen so many people here saying that there is no point in modifying the Z, because it doesn't improve performance wise. In my case, right now, racing a late model M3 is just a waste of gasoline. The last time I raced one, I pulled so many cars it was just plain pathetic. But I can't share much of my races with high performance cars here, because there are people just waiting to debate your credibility.
People, there is room for improvement… period.

what type of dyno?

I have also read that different types of dynos give different #'s.

Were those #'s SAE corrected?

EDIT: No ECU tune? I guess it's ok in my book

Although i think you should aim for 300whp with tuning. I don't know if it seems a bit unreal, but i'd be pissed if i didn't hit 300.

what numbers were you expecting?

you don't even know the type of dyno used

If he used a mustang dyno, he'd be getting like 290-300whp even though the car is the same

I retract my previous statement. I saw no tuning mods, so it's good in my opinion i guess.

I though mustang dynos read lower than dynojet? Correct me if i'm wrong.

They are not. If you look at the graph, it says STD HP and Torque.

4th in an automatic is 1:1, 5th in a 6mt is 1:1

I don't have the SAE graph, but the numbers where very close, maybe 3 or 4 whp of difference. The a/f machine didn't work.

That's a little difficult to say right now because most of the items I searched for the best price and some times I took advantage of the group buys, etc. For example, the NISMO Headers got them from a member here, used but in excellent condition.
Estimated cost... maybe $4k tops...
