Hey everyone. Today on my drive home, the bolt that connects the shifter to the transmission linkage fell out and now my car is stuck in second gear. No big deal to fix really except that I don't know what size bolt to get. I called the local dealerships and they would have to special order a pack of five and it would take a few days to get there. Well I am hoping to find out the correct size so I can run down to the hardware store or the local Auto Zone and pick one up so I can race on Friday night. Anybody know the size of that bolt? Thanks.

 

I found it out. For future reference if anybody happens to need it, the size is 8mm X 1.0 and the part number through Nissan is 080108452A. I got mine at Auto Zone and its 40 threads long. It is a special order part from Nissan so chances are they will not have them in stock, plus they have to order them in batches of 5 so be prepared to spend a whopping $5.00 and have 4 extras. Not to mention a minimum of 2 day delivery to the dealer.
