What Clutch And Flywheel?? Jwt Or Rps
Hey guys im gonna be doing clutch and flywheel soon. What do you recommend for an almost daily driven car?
Im thinking JWT clutch and Flywheel
OR
RPS CLutch and Flywheel.
I have had alot of friends with Supras Recommend the RPS? any opinions. Any body know if one out performs the other?

Same here ?
Will the JWT clutch go with either the Nismo or JUN flywheels and what sort of torque will it handle, I have around 400rwhp, one last question are there any clutches that fit the OEM flywheel and handle that much power.
Cheers

They should both be able to handle the power but i chose the JWT b/c the flywheel is lighter. I figured if i'm spending the money i'd like to feel the effects a little more. THe JWT should rev faster/accelerate. JUst my .02

rps clutch
going with the lightest isnt the best thing to do. a 1lbs b/w the lightest and second to lightest isn't going to make any difference. Me personally i think im going with RPS clutch/flywheel. Because i know thats the best for the supras and they stand by their products

why ask the question if you already know the answer then? If the supra guy use it, what does it have to do with the 350z?
JWT combo has been proven a good setup for 350z, I have yet to hear from RPS. And 1lb difference does on a flywheel does make a difference.
I'd go witht the JWT myself.

rps
well i didnt know at first. But after doing my research im going RPS. The reason i mentioned the Supra guys is because they have 600+hp and there clutches and flywheels can take it. and no the 1lb difference is not much probably wouldnt even be able to tell the difference.
plus the RPS comes with everything clutch flywheel, modified 300zx tt plate, alignment tool and bearings

I run the JUN with the ACT street clutch package. The first two gears are a little touchy now. I can't wait for warm weather.
Now I probably won't let "anyone" drive my car, the flywheel made it a handful and the TCS isn't as quick as the throttle response anymore.

I think if you're going with 500+ hp then go with the RPS. I think the JWT is limited to 500lb of torque. Otherwise the JWT is lighter and revs faster. I have the RPS now and love it but I plan on installing the APS twin turbo system as well.

The nismo clutch's clamping force is said to be 1030 kg... the JWT is rated at 1200 kg. I think I saw a post on here that the JWT flywheel/clutch combo is supposed to easily handle 500 RWHP/TQ. Just an FYI from my research... conclusion (to me) is that JWT is considerably "stronger" than the Nismo, I am not sure how much power the Nismo is supposed to hold (without slipping). Not bad at all considering the JTW combo also loses a few total lb's and people say it is still easily streetable, unlike the tilton combo. And with the JTW you can replace the flywheel pressure surface fairly cheap, and I think with many other flywheels you have to replace the whole thing.. not sure on that.

Thats what im talking about. You say with JWT you can change it fairly cheap. But the RPS one actually comes with it. Its a 300zx pressure plate that has been modified. RPS will out perform the JWT. But if u are only trying to achieve 500 and below than the JWT will be fine. As for me I have bigger dreams.

where di you read that?
JWT flywheel comes with a pressure plate, otherwise how would you use it???
