Default 2nd gear grind....

sometimes...not always when Im driving hard 2nd will grind even if the clutch is all the way in...... could this be a Syncro problem????? what would be appropriate path to fixing this...... I figure it would be cheaper to fix now rather than later......since HAWAII is not mod friendly and my warrenty is now voided..... 27,000 miles but no love....

Right now im condsidering an Oil upgrade...Redline/ Royal Purple.... maybe fix???

G & Z trannys are the same. I experience this grind in 1st and 2nd with the clutch ALL the way in. It goes away after driving for about 5-10 minutes. I always get worried because it really seems like something is GRINDING.

I have the same problem. Tranny is not nearly as silky smooth as it was when I first purchased the car. Originally, I thought it was my short shifter. I removed teh SS and it happens less often but still occurs (mostly in 2nd gear). I have changed the fluids and it still does it once in awhile. Usually happens when I am setting up for a powerslide during a turn. Lately, I have been double clutching during down shifts and it shifts much smoother. My guess is bad syncros which is pretty unexcusable on such a new car. Also, my Nissan dealer wont replace it because when they "test-drive" the car they drive like grandmas and say it's fine.
