Default Nismo Rear Diff Cooler

I just ordered the Nismo Rear Diff Cooler/cover for when I do my rear end swap next week (complete pumpkin swap from a 6MT w/ VLSD into my 5AT base G35) - honestly, I mainly bought it for the "bling" factor, but I was wondering if anyone had any comments on whether or not the thing actually does what it is supposed to... any recommendations on diff fluid would also be very helpful (I'm having a hard time finding something at my local AutoZone/Napa/O'reilly)...

Thanks for the comments/recommendations!

really I think it can only help with cooling. It looks neat too for those few times you see under the car

I had a KAAZ lsd installed, shortly after the rear diff boiled over and oil drained right on to my exhaust. This had happened quite often, especially when I went anywhere over a 1/2 hour away.
I then had the Nismo rear diff cooler installed and have yet to boil it over.It has been about a year or 20,000 miles.

So, my review is nothin but good results.

I'd be stoked if Nismo made one of these for our auto trannies!

I just had an Nismo LSD installed and had only 160 miles on it and now it is making loud scorching noise when decellarating. I can see the exhaust is wet with diff fluid and it is now leaking from the front end of diff. Waiting for a new front seal and switching to thicker diff fluid. I am now considering the diff cooler also.

Weslutes, did you encounter the same problem with yours?

weslutes - does anyone make an auto tranny cooler for us yet? I'm looking at getting the v-body upgrade done pretty soon, and that would be a good thing to do while I'm messing with the tranny...

also, as I asked in the first post - what kinda fluid are you guys using (weight?) I was thinking Redline 75W90???
