Default $1000 budget?

On a $1000 budget, including installation, what would you suggest to get the most performance out of a 5AT 350z?

Thanks

Are you worried about the warranty?
I've been searching for the top 5 and what seems to be the thing is:,,,,
Plenum Spacer, around 220.00 to 350.00
Plenum , around 300.00 to 400.00
Pop Charger or Cold air Intake, around 125.00 to 325.00
ECU flash, around 500.00
3.5 or 3.9 drive, around 600.00 to 2100.00
Exhaust, around 600.00 to 2500.00
UR pulley set, around 325.00
And ground wires seem to be a good choice amongst the majority here for a smoother machine.
You can probably go with the Pop charger and exhaust and come in around 1K

a 75 shot (wet) will be well under 1k and the best bang for your buck but i'm not a fan of the nawwzzzzz. i say get an intake and sign up for a few driver's schools and call it a day if it's purely a parts-only type budget, intake, brake pads, stainless lines.

$1000 is not much for "performance". A CAI/popcharger and exhaust will make your car sound nicer, but only a couple of hp at best. I would suggest finding a good dyno and dyno your car stock so you have a good baseline. Plan into your budget dynoing your car after ever couple of mods so you can track performance progress.

The Kinetix plenum is on a group buy now for $325, and its an easy DIY install.

You can also consider some springs/sway bars if you want to improve handling.

Depends on what you want to do with the car eventually. If you are staying NA, plan on changing the intake, plenum, headers, cats and exhaust. That's about $4K with installation (depending on what brands you get).

You can get around 12-15 hp for 1K, which isn't too bad.
But, like Zboater said, it's not going to net you much.
Just start buying items now, Dyno it, then put them all on at one time.
Exhaust, Plenum, Ground Wires, 3.5 or 3.9 drive, ECU flash, CAI/Pop charger. Also see this thread for a good power increase.

I wouldnt put the ECU flash too high on any mod list, as its benefit will be the most efficient use of mods, unless your dynos are telling you that your air/fuel ratio is way off. Even with all my NA mods I haven't had a need for the ECU flash, although it may provide me some extra hp I decided to blow that money on exterior bling...

Go to junk yard. Find a 6mt that was wrecked in the front... Get the final drive housing... install that and now you have a 3.5 final drive (helps acceleration)...

Then, JWT Pop Charger, UR Crank Pulley

and you will have some left over for next mods....
