Default AAM Return fuel system?

I take it from seeing this product that we have a returnless fuel system stock. What are the benefits of using a return fuel system like the AAM?
Under what conditions would this benefit me? How does this differ from getting a new fuel pump?

Allows for a rising rate regulator for better tuning under boost. Also allows for a more constant fuel pressure under different engine loads. With just the pump you tend to get a pressure spike at idle.

There is some verbiage on our website that explains the reason for this system.
