Default Nismo engine tuning menu sale

can someone please explain this from the nismo site? it looks like an air filter, plugs, exhaust, and some kind of ecm mod??? look under "products".

Hmm? Looks like the S-Tune Performance Upgrades to me excluding the suspension. ECU reflash (ECM), S-Tune Air Filter Element, Nismo Plugs, & the S-Tune Exhaust System.

Maybe. But I'm suprised no word has come of it since it looks like it's been out for quite some time. This bulletin was posted in 2004. Perhaps it's a piggy back system instead of an actual reflash.

this cam/fw kit also has a "private ecm"; damn, why can't we get these kits here in the us?

Z BOY:

THey will not sell the ECU/Engine Cover and the intake tube UNLESS the engine gets shipped back to Japan to get the job done and the ECU is not the reflash, it is the full replacement plug and play with the japanese local fuel setup... That's why I had to buy those s1 engine parts separately from Nismo Japan and use the MoTeC computer to tune up the car instead as cam control is needed with the package.... and this will happen to Sports Resetting Package (the first one that you listed) as well.... ECU will not be sold separately!

I am interested in the M600 ECU you have, but I am not a technically capable individual! Do you recommend this unit for a guy like me that might have to continually go back to the speed shop for fine tuning, or is this pretty much a low maintenance set up, once dialed in. My car is N/A with NISMO cams, headers, CAI & CBE.

nizmoz:

The initial cost for this unit is quite dear and also the tuning will take quite a lot of time as well since there is no preset data whatsoever at all in the ecu, so the tuner will need to set everything for ya and also wiring up this unit with the standard unit (enable to control ABS and air-cond still) is a pain in the ***.... but it all depends on the tuner though!

I will definitely recommand this once you have all the things put into the engine, you will only need to tune once unless you have more things put into the engine that will affect the operation of your engine greatly, then you will only need to have further tunings.

The reason why I went this way is because there is no ECU available nor the reflash that can operate the camshafts with the nismo VTC units that I have and also I am running some wild cams there with 276 degrees and the lift up to 11.mm at the intake side. That was the main reason why I went for motec, and yes.... to remove the fuel cut for me as well.
