I used to have a similar problem with it starting, but has not shown up for about 8 months now--only in the first few months after install. Have you had the vehicle tuned? I'm guessing the rich maps make it harder for the vehicle to start.

Years ago, I had a 1979 2.3L Rustang Turbo that did the same thing, which was diagnosed as vapor lock. The engine got pretty hot, which made restarts difficult. Cold starts were absolutely no problem. The car was wrecked and totaled-out before I had a chance to do anything about the vapor lock. I was glad to get rid of that car... It was a horrible piece of junk.

a) How cold are your plugs? If too cold ,they can get fouled under street use.

b) has the TB been unplugged, if so it may to go thru the TPS training proceedure.

c) a small vaccum leak could cause starting issues, once hot leaks often seel up and only exhibit symptoms after a cold soak cold. If you have a boost vac guage you would prolley see erratic needle movment just after cold starting.

d)Some times low battery voltage on a modern system can cause starting issue. I've found this on car that sit for long periods unused.

Lots of possibilites...

always had that problem with my stock motor with greddy tt

with built motor, aam fuel system, and rich map..must floor gas pedal quickly while turning key- motor starts right up every time

my understanding:
the ecu has a seperate area that controls fuel on startup, seperate from fuel through driving- so, adding fuel with emanage to the map will not fix the problem...what fuel system are you running? stock?

probably have to just live with it...if you floor thepetal once--to allow some air in--does it start immediately?
