Is it worth it to mod the 05 350z's? I heard that they have changed the ECU's in the new z's to block mods like intake and exhaust? Is there any truth behind this statement?

probably harder to mod than earlier models cause it uses a newer emissions programming

 

But, would you still see the same hp/tq gains from the same mods, but different ecu's?

 

As soon as you can get around the new wideband emission monitoring, yes.
