1st trip to the Dyno - tips please!
Got a friend who's hooking me up with a FREE dyno session. While he is obviously very experienced with them as he uses them to tune his racecar, I on the other hand have only seen about 1000 video clips. Just wanted to get any useful info from those of you who've dynoed your Z that you could offer such as what gear to make the pull in and to what RPM, etc.?
Oh, and was also wondering what kind of #s stock 2003s (don't imagine yr makes a diff but that's what mine is) make at the wheels.
Thanks, I'll be posting the results as soon as I get it done!

Ook..one post saying pull in 3rd and another in 5th. Should I just make pulls in 3,4,5 gears and see which is best? Obviously I'd like to put as little stress on the car as possible to get the best #s so if there's a 'magic gear', someone let me know.

What kind of dyno is this? Dynojet, Dynodynamics, dyno-pack, mustang?
Although 5th is the 1:1 ratio, your numbers should be nearly identical in both 5th and 4th. Any variances you see have more to do with the natural variances between runs, rather than gear choice.
Good luck!
