With final drive I feel like I have a 400HP car.
The final drive will not throw your speedometer off. Only way the speedo will be off is by changing tires to a smaller or larger diameter.

lukesnyder- if you wrap your seats with a diaper - like material such as Depends and ditch the extra **** bottle you could shed 3 more pounds off the car and feel like you have 402 horsepower. Just a suggestion.

+3 for the 3.9 FD. I went with the FD first beacuse I also don't see the point of bolt-ons for this car. The car pulls much harder now and you get much more low end grunt from the FD. I only have the 3.9FD w/ stock lsd and am very pleased w/ the performace. Installed it was only $1500 and change. I'll wait till the stock clutch is smoked, then I'll consider a clutch/flywheel combo. I definetly recommend for anyone who wants to stay NA.

BJ and the guys a 350Evo (Wright Tuning) are awsome to do business with. Very excellent service.

The reason why I say this is because I read that the speedo sensor was at the end of the driveshaft which would in turn read the RPM so I just assumed. Can anyone else verify that?

I was thinkin about that.. but my friend thought it might be a good idea to gut out the middle of the seat with a sawzall so I can take a dump into a pan and just shove my PP down to pee there instead.. increasing torque by 3 FT/LBs

No you dont need the Nismo LSD, from what I have read the NISMO lsd is not very streetable, the stock Lsd will work just fine, are you planning on buying the complete pumpkin or just the gears? Look at it this way, if you buy the complete pumpkin $2100 from 350EVO and sell your stock pumpkin to an AT guy for $500 your looking at a total cost of $1600 for the FD if you do your own labor.

The nismo is a 1.5 upgradeable to full 2 way. It is also a clutch type.

The OEM LSD.. is IMHO, crap. It's a viscous type, and 1 way...

The nismo lsd is the cusco mz unit. Either hte RS or the MZ are very streetable. I have not driven them in the Z, but lots of other cars on the track.

just my 2 psi...

I know someone that has the NISMO lsd and hates it. He is going to remove it, replacing it with stock. If you want it let me know and I will put him in touch with you.

How is the Nismo LSD not streetable? Also, if you buy the assembled pumpkin 350evo charges you a $650 core charge, which you will get credit back on after you send them your stock pumpkin.

The speed sensors are on the stub axels of the differential. Speedo will read correctly no matter what the gear ratio is. Now, if you change tire diameter........

I recently installed the EVO 3.917 & Nismo G.T. LSD. VERY pleased. I can't wait to use it at Watkins Glen!!!!

FYI.....to calculate your CORRECT speed, time yourself between mile markers on an expressway in seconds. Divide that number into 3600 & wala(?) = actual speed! My speedo reads about 5.5 MPH high at 84 MPH with my 255/40 17's.

Can 350evo sell you the gears with the Cusco RS LSD instead of the Nismo. I hear that the Cusco is a lot quieter.

In the end, will you have the same results from buying just the gears and swapping them as opposed to buying the whole pumpkin?

I might not mind the noises, just depends on how loud it is. Don't want people to think my rearend is falling off everything I take a corner.
