Default Dynoed Car This Weekend

Went to Dyno Day at the Beach and went ahead and dynoed since it was only $50 for 2 pulls and only put down 223wrhp and 220 tq. My car is a auto, but I thought it would have done alittle better then that. 10 til 4 was there and his Z stock put down 242wrhp and 231tq with stock motor. It did almost what some of the guys put down with intake, exhaust, pulleys, and spacer, sounds like a freak motor to me. There where some other Z's there and acouple older ones two. At least I did better then a guy with a auto 300zTT. He only put down 217wrhp. I had lots of fun and thank the guys at Tiderwater Z club for hosting this awesome event, and the best part is I won a little trophy out of it because I was the only one in my class. I also won a pair of fog lights which will be used for something but not the Z. Heres the dyno paper, you can see that at least my tq curve was nice and flat the whole way:

That is kinda low... how were the conditions during the dyno?

I wonder how much you gained from that exhaust.

It was very hot out and there fans looked like they did not blow very well. I am going to take it to another dyno at Virginia Speed and see what it reads. I don't know what gear he dynoed it in or if he cut off the traction control or not. I think I might have actually lost hp and tq because of the exhaust being true duals and loosing back pressure. I am going to be upgrading the tq converter and valve body soon and will see how much of a difference they make at putting the horses to the wheels. I like my tq curve through, solid all the way across.

Those dyno numbers for your car look about right. Autos always will dyno less than a MT.

Yep, anywho it pretty much varies anyway's... But the last dyno I went to many were dyno'ing lower then previous results (like 10 or more WHP).

So johanna1, one person there with a stock G35 auto did 200 WHP at that dyno day. And I did 222 WHP that day, I was not pleased cause I keep up with what seems to be the norm numbers (kinda like the average)... But last Thursday night I dyno'ed again and put down some pretty good numbers and I only have the Tanabe Ultra Med. single exhaust...

Looking very forward to my "after" numbers which I should be getting done this Friday

Also the kind of dyno also can affect on your numbers, my first time was on rollers, and this time Dyno Pack.

Is yours a auto also? I have seen some auto's put down some good numbers and I have seen some put down some bad numbers. I have seen the same with manuals also. I thought I would have seen at least 230's since the car is 287hp motor. I just don't believe there could be that much powertrain loss even with a auto. I will dyno again and see what happens when I reset the ECU and go to the dragstrip tomorrow. Should help out hopefully.
