Default GT300 350z VQ35 Engine Photos

Does anyone have any photos of the VQ35 motor used in the GT300 race cars?

I remember seeing some of it in and out of the car with carbon fiber intake manifolds but Ive searched and cant find them anywhere. Any help with this is appreciated.

Yeah, I have a bunch. But I don't have a scanner. I took several of the engine bays at GT Live, and have about 5 of the motor outside the car. I'll see if I can't hook up a link on this post to a buddy's site. I think he might have a scanner for his business. Give me a day and I'll see what I can do.

For what it's worth, you're right. The intake is a massive dual feed carbon fiber trumpet housing six individual throttle body assemblies. It looks like it uses the front cover off the VQ30DET, since there are no CVTC housings, and it has custom cam covers.

That would be awesome, thanks alot for your help!

Being able to see them in person would have been fantastic as well!

The custom cam covers would have been different heads, probabally the Nizmo ones which arent painted black like our stock ones.

I remember the pic of the engine. Do a search on Mike Wazowski. He posted a pic of the engine a long time ago.

All Right!! It looks like the pics loaded up. I couldn't scan the ones I took at the JGTC race, but I had these on my hard drive. You can seee on the front of the engine cover, there are no CVTC housings, and there is no see-through in-between the heads as there is on the VQ35 front cover. This looks identical to the cover on the VQ30DET. The individual throttle bodies are really visible on the shot of the rear side of the engine, and the custom cam covers are there. I think the ones with the plenum on are really cool, but it looks to be missing the restrictor. At GT Live, the VQ35 restrictors looked much smaller. Anyhow, enjoy!

Someone should make an intake setup like that for street cars.
