Good lord, 284 are some AGGRESSIVE cams. Would be interesting to see though. You will defintely need uprgraded valvetrain and some tuning. I would bump up the compression as well.

Well I am wondering if it is something that could be done, realize more gains than the Spec 1s, and do so on stock compression. If so I am definetly going for it. I wouldn't mind upgrading the valvetrain as this would let me enjoy the higher redline without worries but I'm wondering if the conrods would need to be replaced or if the NISMO con-rod bolts would be sufficient. Is installing a new set of conrods a pricey affair? If not, I'd rather do forged con rods and bolts at the same time for some extra piece of mind. Maybe I'm thinking too far ahead... I know sometime this month I plan on ordering the Tilton 8lb setup

i'm not sure how high the powerband will shift with spec 2 cams, but if your going any higher then 7200rpm, a forged con-rod will definitly be better.
i wont bother with a con-rod if the rpm is anywhere below 7200, just con-rod bolts is enough.
