Default Digital gauges and sensors

I don't like the idea of a gauge pod or hacking up the dash etc. I was wondering if anyone knows if someone makes a single DIN size unit that displays digital gauges and that accepts inputs for boost, A/F, EGT, etc.?

The only two options I'm aware of is the HKS Camp which requires an external display. Or the upcoming Blitz SBC i-Color which does everything.

You can look into the Defi Link Display. It might not have all the sensors you want, but it covers a good portion of them (oil temp, oil pressure, fuel pressure, EGT, water temp). Sensor sets sold separately, need the Control Unit II also.

No boost or A/F.

Wow that Blitz Unit sure looks slick. I wonder how much it will run? I do also really like the Defi HUD setup. For an NA Z it would be ideal and looks freaking badass (I'd feel like I was in a fighter jet!).

That Defi HUD does look cool, it would be great if it could display boost and a/f ratio. The Blitz iColor looks really cool, I wish it was wider so you could display more than 1 gauge at a time though, but its along the lines of what I was thinking of.

The Blitz i-Color does have different modes to display up to 6 meters at one time, you just don't get the nice analog meter look. It would be great if they had some sort of video output to work similar to the Camp system. I believe you can get it in Japan for ~$800.

baileyrx,

How much did you pay for the Zeitronix and where did you get it, if you don't mind me asking?

ebay,

360 bucks including; boost sensor, a/f wideband & lcd. Easy to install, easy to see. I'm waiting on a good deal for an egt sensor. don't really need it, but since it's displayed I might as well watch it.

I have it velcroed to a lightweight aluminium clip I "borrowed" from work. Very unobtrusive.

you can get the zeitronix from their web site for about $400 I believe.

FWIW... When I first ordered my SC I was searching all over for an alternative to the gauge pod. I also didn't want to cut holes in the dash, center console, etc...

In the end, I couldn't find anything I liked and just settled for a pillar gauge pod with Defi boost and a/f gagues. Their recommendation also didn't seem right, white face analog gauges with black text. In the end I'm pretty happy with the size, easibility to read (day and night) and the overall fit with my 350z. I'd recommend it based on everything I've seen so far.

I'd love it if someone could find a reasonable way to let us keep the digital gauge on the dash, and consolidate battery/oil pressure & Boost/ a/f in the other two.

The dual gauges mentioned above look good, but they don't seem to have Boost and a/f. I'm hoping if I see something better down the road I can just remove the pillar gauges and patch the small hole in the pillar plastic used to run the wires.

By the way my gauges with pilar plastic ran me around $375.

Good point... I DO need full wideband. I orignally bought Defi boost and a/f (narrowband). However, I found out later that my 2004 was made later in 2004 and needs a full wideband gauge. I believe that from 2004 to 2005 there was a switch in sensors and my 2004 and all 2005 will need a full wideband gauge. Avalon Racing just ordered one for me and to be honest I'm not sure who makes it, but Paul said it's a match with white face and black band. Price was a little over $150 I think.

On a separate note, check out http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/index.html they seem to have a fully programable boost and a/f combo. I'm just looking at it now.

why is it that none of the gauge manufacturers make a really nice nitrous pressure gauge??? Nitrous is huge with the import scene. The only company who makes N20 pressure is Autometer. I have seem a few other digital gauges, but nothing nice like the Defi or greddy gauges.

Is n20 not sold in Japan? Is that why?
