this sounds different then everyone else, if it only happened after you installed the plenum you probably have a leak somewhere. if i were you i would go around and make sure all the bolts are tightened to speck and everything is flush.

I just layed it over the plenum and "pressed it on" untill it was sealed, started the car up, it sucked in the areas that needed to be tight, I did and drove the car and re did it until the press'n seal no longer sucked in.
