If Im not mistaking, they are copies of the JWT cams. Not positive, but I think thats what I remember. There is a big thread on motoring about them in the GB section. I think they were suppose to be around $800 during the GB that fell thru.

Who cares if they are copies as long as they are made correctly. I have their headers which are exact replicas of the DC Sports headers and the quality looks excellent to me.

Why's that? I got Pro-1 exhaust parts and the quality is awesome, even if they are basically imitations. Don't know why they would make something that was low quality.

I had just installed pro-1 headers last weekend, fit was great. Butt dyno said they work. I am now considering either the tanabe smh or pro-1 single muffler system.

Yeah thats what I got. Bought it 3rd hand because the first two guys were N/A and said it would to loud. Sounds absolutely amazing with F/I though.

But I can't really talk about its N/A sounds cause I have not actually heard it myself on a N/A car.

I also bought mine 2nd hand cause of loudness. But after applying a bit of sound deadener in the rear hatch floor, its not to bad. The sound is intoxicating!

that's what i thought, not really my style with the big can look. But the clips of that style pro-1 do rumble and sound different. But I have yet to find a clip of the muffler type.

I can defiantely understand with exahaust/external motor parts. **** i have Topspeed test pipes on my car It does not take much to get external parts produced.

Imitations are always not to be messed with when it comes to internals. I've learned my lesson in the Honda world not to mess with imitation camshafts....

They snap or break while operation..Period. Remember camshafts while in operation are in extreme environment. People who know these motors and do R&D get my approval. I doubt imitations get there R&D homework done...Think about it!

By the way...You get what you pay for.

I agree with Zexy. When it comes to internals I'll stick with the big guys, even thought I've heard nothing but great things about Topspeed headers, exhaust etc I wouldn't risk it with cams. It's such a pain to install and get tuned so I'd only want to do it once and forget it. That said I'm considering Tomei or the Nismo Spec 1.

Chances are I will too, probably Tomei cams if I get cams, but I was just making a comment that Pro-1 stuff (at least so far) is quality.

ReavTek & 002-M-P,
You mentioned Nismo and Tomei cams. Why not JWT? Did I miss something?

I agree there stuff is good quality for what it is, but don't mess with the cams Not worth it.

As soon as you'll know it the cams snap into 2-3 pieces, valves go in 2-3 different directions, valves smack pistons, pistons break into 2-3 different pieces, destroy cyliner walls, rods bend= Catastrophic engine failure.

I'd like to get my hands on some Tomei as well. Or maybe Nismo S1

No real reason. Tomei is a very praised company and they cost about the same as the JWT's($1199 for the Tomei @ Gruppe S vs $1098 for the JWT's at 350zforums) and I like to be at least somewhat different than everyone else, so what the hell.

Indeed that would suck, that is why I will keep my eye on some Tomei's in the very distant future. I think I would like to build my motor before I do any work in the topend of the motor.

Thanks. I was afraid there were problems or performance issues I hadn't heard about. Given the three brands mentioned, I'm going with JWT because their service has always been so exceptional.
