Default Mossy Performance SS clutch line...pics inside

So after having my clutch fluid boil for the first time a month back during a 2 hour full boost high speed run I decided to get the Mossy Performance clutch line. Its an SS line that comes pre-wrapped with heat resistent coating. Will be installing tomorrow with the assistance of protocav. Also flushing in some Elf Frelub at the same time and maybe installing a set of Crown SS brake lines. Heres the pics...

I know it's been posted before, but I never copied the link, and a 2 sec half-a$$ed google search produced nothing.

So link?

After that we bled the system and it was all good. Bleeding/flushing took MAYBE 10 minutes because the resivoir is so small and there isnt much fluid in that system. FYI the bleed screw is under the car where the banjo bolt side of the line connects.

Yeah Shaggy is good people. He's been in my car and probably give a general impression. I think even he agrees the car is deceptively fast as Greg learned the hard way No seriously though not sure if you are going to the Turbonetics open house on the 24th but that would be a good place to check things out. Otherwise I'll probably end up at Mossy again next Friday and we can meet up.

So can someone please explain to me how this would benefit more opposed to the OEM piece? I'm getting my new clutch & flywheel pretty soon so if this adds an extra benefit to my setup, I might as well have this installed as well. Especially for only $40. TIA.

Well not that you are going to overheat the fluid by just using the clutch but mainly its for those with aftermarket headers or turbo kits. The reason is the removing the stock manifolds or heatshields rather increase the heat down at the bottom of the motor. Because the clutch system is hydraulic the heat generated from this can cause the clutch fluid to boil. Some have even had this happen with stock headers at a track day. The line Mossy sells is SS braided over a teflon core so even if the line did get hot it would not flex. It is further wrapped in heat reflecting coating to reflect as much heat from the line as possible further reducing the chance of the fluid boiling. Lastly by running High Temp Brake Fluid (thats what the clutch system uses) you again even further reduce the chance of it boiling as it can withstand more heat before it boils. If you have ever head it boil you wouldn't think twice about getting it. Losing clutch operation at the track could be VERY bad news.

if you boil your clutch fluid on the track, you'll like this better than the OEM

totally sucks - I've even had my clutch fluid boil once in really bad rush hour - was when i was new to the tilton clutch

I've boiled my fluid on the track and had to use 3rd gear the whole time, not so fun
