Default My Car....help!

Here is where i am right now:
Invidia G200 Exhaust system
Injen Intake
Spacer
Unorthodox 3-piece pully set
Helix Test Pipes
After market 18" wheels on Nitto 555's

My question is that where should i go next? I dont think I am going to go FI, so I was thinking of headers but that sh#$ is so expensive to install! Also, who would be a good race for me right now? As you can see I am slightly modded and I am willing to run someone but i dont know what car.

I’ve never done a dyno run. They cost about $100, and I’d rather spend the money on something else. I prefer the $25 dragstrip test.

Correct. A dyno test is about $100. I didn't make that clear.

Hello DavidV,

I noticed you are in the bay area. We hav a dyno here, and we are doing three pulls for $65.00. Give me a call if you are interested, and I can try to help you out on the header installation if you'd like. If you have any questions, my number is 510-475-5855.

Steela,

I would say a good race for you now is probably against me in a S2000. However with my superior driving skills it wouldn't be much of a race. J/K I'm hella bored so I was just saying what's up.

Well since I'm hella bored I am going to tell you what I think you should do next. I would continue to do the stuff that tends to cost less and build your way up. Since you just did the test pipes I would probably go with some Headers next to complete your basic bolt-ons and then maybe some sort of engine management system or aftermarket ecu and then I would go get the car retuned and dyno'ed. Then for long term look into cams and some internal engine work and I would say that you will have yourself one fast NA 350. Also once you pump up the power it is going to put extra stress on your drivetrain so do some gears (you will sacrafice some top end speed for better acceleration) clutch and whatever else you think is necessary. Then from there slam the car do a big brake kit and call it done. Well at least for a while...(supercharger ) Alright then man see ya tomorrow....

Yeah I would recommend the following if your not going FI:

1) EVO350 Final Drive Gears
2) JWT Lightweight Flywheel
3) JWT S1 Cams
4) NISMO S-Tune Front&Rear Sways

Depending on how much you are willing to spend get either
5) TEIN Basic Damper Suspension-around $750
or
5) TEIN Flex Coilovers-around $1600
6) Technosquare Reflash
7) Crawford High Cast Plenum
8) Crawford Headers

FYI

steela, there are two 350Z specialty shops is the bay area that I know of. They are both close to each other, as the crow flies, kind of on either side of the San Jose int. airport.

One is Z Car Garage that does good work and loves mods and the other is also a competent shop called Scott Performance. SP has a load based dyno, a very accurate and repeatable dyno that they actually tune on.

You should give either or both shops a call.
