Gasoline and a bug sprayer should help you get your back saturated. Just find a friend to light you up and call 911.

Take video. Good luck w/ that.

what are you looking for a flame thrower kit for the exhaust? or do you just want to make noise?

A rich fuel mixture and test pipes--straight pipes/deleted cats. I used to the do the same with my MK3 2.1L Volkswagen Jetta before. 1 foot flames on low RPM downshifts constantly.

Kinda off topic but oh well.

My friend has a 89 240sx with a sr20DET swap, and he has test pipes on it, and the thing backfires like a ****. But anyways, were driving downtown and he downshifts, and his car backfires hella loud, and out of no where this crack head comes screaming out onto the street saying:

"MUH FU*KA, IF YOU GONNA BE SHOOTIN IN THE STREETS ***** SHOOT AT ME!! SHOOT AT ME!!"

I nearly crashed for laughing so damn hard....hahahahahah

Yo Terence I never know you used to drive VW! I had a mk4 20th anniversary too!

back on the topic, a test of test pipes and some free flowing exhaust with the driver constantly hitting gas for 30+ sec will give some back fire. lol

Does the "backfire" only happen on 6spd manual downshifts? I've never had any backfire and I have test pipes.

Buy a V8 Mustang with 100,000 miles. It will backfire for sure.

I've never heard of anyone wanting their car to backfire either. I've seen it happen on a few cars, but they were all older tuned cars.

Racecars dont have backfires but extra fuel splurges out during upshifts so the turbo keeps spooled up. The result is a surge in pipe pressure and a bunch of flames :-D. They look cool as hell. Otherwise you can just run rich w/ test pipes and downshifting w/o rev matching will get u those flames
