I told you it was not much worse then stock. Very little chatter.

im going to burn through my clutch so fast with this flywheel. Its really a blast to drive now, my shifts are smoother bc the rpms drop right on time as before being too slow. That being said i was let down on the acceleration improvment. Really is over rated imo. Overall id definitly do it again but for different reasons.

yup its the same with the JWT except more loud. Id say about 15% louder. Cant hear it over ac or radio let alone both.

some are louder than others. Mine personally is pretty loud...loud enough that it would bother alot of Z owners to have it, but since i'm only in it for the performance and the car is loud anyway I don't really mind.

i didn't hear my jwt for about a week after installing it. then, after a spirited drive while sitting at a stoplight in neutral, i heard it. went away when i pushed clutch in, of course. its the lightwt fw, not the clutch, that makes the noise. its totally bearable, tho.

it just makes the car more driveable imo. Everywhere ive read you give up driveability for more acceleration. Acc feels the same but the car rides more smooth and shifts much nicer. But this may be bc i had a messed flywheel to begin with.

How is the noise from 2000rpm to 3000rpm under heavier loads? Any cement mixer'ish noises? I have sold a lot of these, but never installed one. The one I heard had a little noise...but nothing bad at all.

Yep, mine has it real bad, under 2500 RPM with mid to heavy throttle, very loud cement mixer noise.

I have a nismo exhaust and JWT pop charger. Its barely audible over those two mods. I can "feel" it more than i can hear it. When im cruising around in sub 2000 rpms i never hear it. But in low mph and low rpm instances yes i can hear it a little. Its really liveable. If your a modder you like this kindof thing anyways.
The only thing about the noise i dont like is that say im picking a girl up on a date and the car is running with the clutch out. Then from outside the car it is an audible noise and would sound "broken" but besides that one example it is pure sweetnss.

I just had mine installed JWT combo and it makes it pretty bad but it doesnt bother me at all. My buddies insists they know everything and they say something is wrong with it but there is no convincing them at all.

I say if it bothers you that much you shouldnt be modding the car at all.

k80, I have come to learn that every customer has a different tolerance for noise. For instance, I have a customer that installed a custom true dual 2.5 inch exhuast system, and he told it sounds waaay too loud. I drove his car, and to my ears, it sounded stock.

Becuase so many guys with the lightened flywheels have been drivng them for so long, they get used to the noise....what noise that it makes. I think if you give it a week or two, you will adapt to the noise, and it wont bother you. But generally speaking, all of these types of setups will have varying levels of cement mixer noise to them.

lots of people get SES lights from light weight clutches/flywheels - depends on your individual car usually if the sensors freak out or not

as for flywheel noise, mine is loud from 1100-1800 rpm and worse under heavy load.
