Just a general question on mod parts specifically nismo parts. Would i void the warranty if I installed headers, exhaust, etc? Would it make any difference that the dealership would intall the parts?

Yes. If the dealership installs the nismo parts it would not void your warrenty. If you install them it voids it. Depending on what dealership you are at. Some of them are cool and dont care and other do.

 

Its really a case by case basis. For example, if your car is still under waranty, and you need a new clutch, the dealer can NOT say, "well you have aftermarket exhaust so you have no waranty now." The Dealer has to prove that the failure of the part came as a result of the aftermarket part you installed.

 

Also keep in mind that the warranty on NISMO parts varies. S-Tune parts like the exhaust are fully warrantied. R-Tune parts are officially for "off road use only" and do not include a warranty. From the Nismo brochure:

R-tune components have been engineered for the hard-core enthusiast or weekend racer. Street “civility” is compromised for maximum performance at
track days. R-tune components do not carry any type of warranty, and have been designed and are intended for off-highway applications only. The installation
of these components on a vehicle intended for use on public streets or highways may violate laws and regulations relating to motor vehicle safety standards
or emissions regulations. These components are sold “as is”, without warranty of any kind whatsoever, express or implied, (including all warranties of
merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose). The installation of these components could also void vehicle or other Nissan warranty coverage.

 

Only S-tune wont void ur warranty like the suspension, exhaust, body kit. The R-tune stuff will (cams,headers,CAI)... all the good stuff.

 

Until I got my supercharger my warranty was still in full effect with all boltons listed below.
