Default Just dropped off the Z at SGP Racing

Ok folks, I just left my 35th Anniv. in Mark's hands at SGP Racing in Houston. This is what I am having done (from the invoice).

Greddy 18G TT Kit
8mm Breather Tank
Greddy 3 Row FMIC
Koyo Aluminum Radiator
Walbro Fuel Pump
Type RS BOV
Skunk 2 Plenum Spacer
JWT L/W Flywheel
RPS Max Street Clutch
APS Cat Back Exhaust System
APS Cat Delete Pipes
Reflash ECU
3 Defi Gauges
Defi Control unit
Greddy Profec Type S
Nismo Thermostat
Dyno Tune new setup

Any comments? I am pretty fired up to say the least. I am convinced that SGP will do a great job on my '05 35th Anniv. 350Z

I think you might need a fuel return system for safety with a Greddy TT.
Suggest you check with Sharif at ForgedInternals.com
Good luck

Jokestrap, thats awsome man. Just a quick question. Why not go forged internals while your at it? I meen it seems like your going all out except for the internals. It doesnt make sense to me cause later down the road labor is going to cost more to pull the motor do to the fact of working around the turbos to get the motor out and such. Just something you might want to think about if you havent already.

You're right about the internals. Money later is not an issue. Have plenty. I do not want to void the warranty at this point. The car only has 6K miles on it. I am also looking at buying a new ride before going over 500rwhp. Internals will come at that point and will go for 600rwhp+. Thanks for the reply guys. I will check with Sharif on the fuel return system. I am syked about getting my new machine back. Will have many pics next weekend.

You could probably just wake up Kyle or Mark at SGP and tell them you want a fuel return system. I think they have their own.

with all the work you are having done, i dont think you are going to have much of a warranty anyway.

Once you go FI GOODBYE motor warranty. Different clutch and flywheel... see yah drivetrain warranty..now you just need different suspension to complete the unwarranty process.-- I had to fight with the dealer to even look at my car b/c they felt it was not longer under warranty.

I have talked to many in PM's that have not had a problem with tranny problems and such after FI. clutch, and flywheel. Most bolt-on's are okay. They would actually have to "prove" that the increase HP screwed up the tranny etc. It's just not worth a tranny or other reasonable item to fight over for them; especially if you have a good relationship with you Nissan Dealer GM. It will not be an issue. Will wait on internals...

I definitely suggest a fuel return system for that power level. You need a stable fuel pressure for tuning at that level, though i'm sure the reflash will be fine, you may see fuel pressure fluxuating more than you would like.

Just curious, can you elaborate on the "dyno tune" on the invoice? Is SGP Racing flashing the ECU themselves or is Technosquare (or AAM)?

BTW, let me know if you need some more information on the fuel system. We sell AAM fuel systems and use one in the shop's 622 RWHP 350Z.

Congrats. SGP is a great shop. I bought my upgraded long block from them. You should ask about the new waste gates they make for the greddy kits. They dump into the atmosphere and add about 30-40whp. If you went with those you could make the same whp at lower boost. I am going to pick me up a set soon.

"Dyno Tune", yes, the way it was put to me, they are reflashing and tuning on site. I asked Mark about the fuel return system, he said that for 400rwhp to 420rwhp it really wasn't necessary with the way they set everything up when tuning etc.

Gman, thanks for the feedback, I will ask Mark tomorrow.

Guys, Mark felt like between 7 to 8 boost should be good for over 400whp with my setup as stated. Agree? I am going for quick and safe for now.

SWEET... that will be a nice setup! Better start investing in a new read end. so much power, launching the car will snap the axles
