Default The Z got G_tech'ed

I post this from Penang, Malaysia. I got here over a week ago and I am to remain for another 3 weeks.

Right before I left I dropped the Z off at Scott Performance for trouble shooting, more tuning and testing. A short time after the mods were installed and tuned the first time the ECU pulled 10 degrees out of the tune. This has been corrected and after the retune on the load based dyno Ted wringed out some more hp. Before it had 279 rwhp and now it has 288 on the Dastek dyno. I don't know the torque numbers as it wasn't given to me in Ted's email.

He G-tech'ed it and reported 5.1 0-60, 13.8 1/4 mile time and 109 mph 1/4 mile trap. The Z has bad traction issues. Ted said he is going to put on some drag radials and give it another go witht he G-Tech.

I am making some serious overtime over here. Anyone got any suggestions for mods? I have been wanting some expensive rims and tires but haven't had the dough for that. What's the ticket to traction?

Regards from Asia.

A full tank of gas, and some tires with some side wall?

That or a dead hooker in the trunk to add tail wait.

Yeah, I've got bad taste in humor.

But seriously... Its known that tires with side wall can twist a bit to keep the rubber down and apply a larger patch to the ground. Aside from an aftermarket diff that will hook-up "faster" then a VLSD, and some tires with side wall I can't think of much proven. (But I'm only 1 step above novice.)

heh heh heh heh! I'll tell ya' the're some hookers over here that, a, well never mind.

Some wide road tires I think. Drag radials for the 1/4 track but I never go there so I like handling tires for the twisties.

Yes!! But their might be a stroker motor in my future. Then I think not the 3.9.
But then again the mods i have now and then the stroker and add a 3.9 and I think were in the mid 12's easily, or not, I am not sure about that but it would be a real kick in the a$$ anyway. But I just want this thing to hook up good for now. That's what I really want to get done first of all. That probably means learning to launch better first and foremost.
