Battery/Power
Anyone know what kind of an effect these 2 mods would have?

The voltage adapter claims hp, and the lightweight battery is really light. Think its a good idea?

The first one sounds like BS. I have been a practicing EE for 38 years, and can't figure out how this would get you that much hp. The normal alternator cuts out at high rpms anyway to prevent overvoltage, which is where this mod is shown to produce the power gains. The second one is similar to this Hawker, which I have had on a lot of my cars, and they are excellent, though not 11 lbs, but it is much lighter than OEM. Obvious benefits from weight reduction.
hypervoltage I don't think gains any real power. I have one, it seems to help out with electrical stuff and maybe helps the ECU etc get a strong cleaner voltage, but no gain in power.
I run it with my hawker battery. Only had them for about 2 months now though. Rickdogg has had the same setup for awhile now

Actually I gained 37 RWHP from one of those. I had to take them off though after I blew my tires from all the extra HP.
hahahha, thats funny. but im still gonna look into the battery. its a 25 pound weight saver from the front end.
i dont know why im so worried about weight tho, isnt it like .1 seconds off ur 1/4 for every 100 pounds off? anyways, i was planning on lightweight seats, taking the tire/jack out, and a few other negligibile luxuries when im at the track.

not all cars benefit in the same way from the grounding kits and products of the same "ilk". As an example, I have the HKS Circle Earth on my own car. I was using the insaneanime (or whatever it is called) kit previously. After I installed it, I noticed no differences in throttle response, nor idle quality (which was my own reason for buying it...I did not care about a few hp gain, if at all possible). However, after about a year the wires began to discolor badly, and the hardware they provided began to ruse. I had an HKS Circle Earth on the shelf and one Friday night, decided what the hell. I took the old kit off and put the new kit on - to my surprise, by idle stabilized alot, and throttle response did improve to a similar level as when I did my pulley. Now, I have customers who bought the circle earth and noticed no difference either, and people on the boards who love the insaneanime kit too - so like most mods, not everyone's reaction or results will be the same.
I have seen the cyber voltage kits work really well on the Evo, but as of yet, have not used it on the Z. One of my employees has the SUN grounding kit and the voltage stabilizer on their cars, and loves it.
What personal experience has taught me on the grounding kits is that playing with different ground points is key.

Anyways, like Adam said, it makes a difference on what kit you purchase. Like anything else, you get what you pay for. I noticed improved throttle response, smoother idle, and my voltage throughout the vehicle is much more consistent. HP gains, well are hard to measure based on such little gains.
