Default 05 knocking already????

Whats up all, I have a concern about the Z's idle. I know that its pretty rough, which I have read through the posts and the nifty search button. I believe I am experiencing knocking coming from the engine bay. This really concerns me because i have only have had the car for about 6 months with 7500 miles. The only upgrade that I have so far is the JWT Popcharger which I do not believe it to be the root cause of the knock. Have any of you guys experienced this knock? If so, does the dealer now about it and is there a TSB for it?

It happens at idle and happens every 15 seconds when at idle. And I always use 91 Octane here in CA.

Yeah, I have a 6MT. I know that the Z's flywheel is ridiculously loud, and everytime i step into the clutch the flywheel noise goes away. But back to the knock, Is this really normal for the Z? Its really annoying, my little cousin called me out on it....kinda embarrassed since its a fairly new car.

If it's sucking in hot hair it will knock due to a hot charge much like a turbo or supercharger without an intercooler running too much boost. I would set it back to stock and see then take it back to the dealer.

Wow does the JWT suck that much hot air in? I know the difference between the short ram vs. CAI, but I thought the heat shield is supposed to deflect the hot air from the filter. Is this not the case?

ive got the popcharger, and my car makes the same annoying noise. i put the stock box on, and it did not solve the problem. i was using mobil 91 from my local gas station. on my last fill-up i used 91 chevron, and poured in some octane booster, and wallah......the knock was gone.....until the next fill-up w/o the booster. hmmmm....i took it to the dealer and they said it was normal/nothing is wrong. if you turn your a/c on, the noise will go away. next time i go to the dealer, im gonna have them bump my idle up a little, i think that will solve it. let me know what happens.
