Royal purple is the best IMO, been through them all....even amsoil...and royal purple is THE shiet! All my previous cars were my little guinea pigs, but the Z and the car I used to own before were all done royally!

I just bought a 12 pack case of royal purple. Royal purple didn't even skimp on creating a quality box for the product.

I havent had to add any oil yet after 1000, normally I would have had to add half a quart with mobile1

- car runs smoother
- cost a little less then mobile1
- it really is Barney purple

I just received my Royal Purple Motor Oil (got a case of it for $49 + $22 shipping).

my 2003 z burns oil like your's did, I hope that RP is the solution. I have already changed my diff and tranny to RP and have noticed smoother shifts. Thus it is time to treat the engine with the Royal Purple treatment.

I was told that non-synthetic 20W-50 was the ideal grade for the Z, especailly with a lot of mods/ turbo or supercharger. Something to do with the oil filter not being able to handle synthetic oil after 2500 miles or so. I wanted to go the Royal Purple route, but it appears they only make Synthetic oils.

I would be careful with lighter weight synthetic oils, especailly if you are going to run the hell out of your car. I was using 5W-30 syn in my car that helped enhance some engine problems, including loss of compression. After a new engine I only use 20W-50 VR1 racing oil.

I was also told that the engineers that developed the VQ35DE were told that the engine should run on regular 10W-30 motor oil, and last about 200,000 miles. Good luck with your cars!

You believe everything you hear? That's a bunch of BS. The filter can't handle synthetic after 2500 mi? You need to get out more. Unless you want people to pick on you when you grow up, I suggest you look around and don't make a lot of decisions on a single opinion. Royal Purple, just like any synthetic, will benefit your engine.

Do the Diff at the same time Omar. I did mine and they run great. I have Royal Purple in my engine, radiator, tranny and diff.

Yea was thinking about just that. Im just not too impressed with Redline, still notchy. But everyone says RP is like butter so Ill change it out and see if I like it. If not than Ill switch to Amsoil @ 60K. Prolly just go all out RP. Easier to get What RP did you put in your radiator John? @ 60K I also want to change clutch fluid with something good.
