Default RoyalPurple?

I bought Modified Mag, it basicly was like a 350z, rx7, evo, sti mag, alot of Z in there but it had a article sayuing RoyalPurple is THE BEST.

I also realize turbonator says you get more HP for a goofy thing that you insert.

Is this royal purple legit, should i be useing it?

I sell tons of it at Wilde Motorsports, use it personally myself. Royal Purple uses the same grade as source oil as mobil 1, amsoil and some other high brands.

www.bobistheoilguy.com is a good source

I have used OEM (or whatever originally came in the Z), the Turbonetics Syn. Oil, Royal Purple motor oil (and used Royal Purple for the tranny/diff), Castrol Syntec Syn. motor oil. And now ordered Red Line motor oil for my next oil change.

When it really comes down to it, can't tell a difference... Just only to change the fluids at consistant intervals

I love 300v (been using it for last 6000miles)

what grade do you use btw? I've been using 5W40 for both street and track and the oil pressure is awesome in any conditions. Was using mobil1 5w30 before, and pressure would get a bit low after extensive use, engine would also burn ~quart every 3500 miles... with 300v engine stopped burning oil completely.

And you can use 10W30... Though 5W30 seems to be able to handle lower temps better. But I guess those who really care, live in really cold areas

I switched to Mobil 1 after 3000 miles, mostly cause it seem everyone was doing it. I just switched to Castrol Syntech 10-30 I have like over 2000 miles on and it still looks pretty clean and my Z runs super with it.Did the tranny and dif. too, allways liked Castrol. 13000 + miles on my Z

Its WAY thicker....but better...eh who knows. I tried Royal Purple in my car 10W-30 and I wasn't that happy with it. Prior to that I had run nothing but Mobil 1 10W-30 and the motor ate at least 1 quart every 3k miles. I switched to Royal Purple 10W-30 and it did well. I didn't burn any but it seemed within a few hundred miles of driving the valvetrain started getting noisy...My latest switch has been to Turbonetics TS-1... Its a 5W-30 oil but has a lot of nice additives and like the Motul has an ester base. So far it hasn't burned any and the valvetrain has been quieter again. Engine seems smooth. When I change it in about 500 miles I'm going to send it out for analysis and see what they say. I may run some Motul 300v next change too so I can get a good analysis on that as well but most likely I'll stick with the Turbonetics stuff.

Basically 5 qt. when changing with the oil filter. You still have a stock oil pan right then that is pretty much it.
