A set of Eagles is 3 lbs lighter then Pauters. If the whp goal is 500-550, would the Eagles actually be better? Does 3 lbs make that much difference in terms of rotating assambly mass?
Bottom line, if you were in my position, which would you go for?

Don't Pauters come pre-balanced? How much does it cost to balance a set, or is it that you balance thew hole rotating assambly regardless? Anyway, won't the cost difference be offset by the labor difference?

I'm going with the Eagles as well. My power goal is 500-600 whp. The Honda and Supra guys have been using them for years just fine and at higher power levels. Why spend twice as much money if you don't need to?
Yeah get the Eagle rods. I have installed them in 300zx's making 800 Rwhp and they hold up just fine. Plus 3 Lbs on the rotating assembly will make a noticable difference on how the car revs up.

I have eagles going into my build right now. The engine is actually done, but still waiting on a few parts. Should have the car back in about 2 wks. for the $600 savings the eagles are a true bargain and will definitely hold 500-600 whp and most likely more if you have the supporting components to go higher.
