Default flywheels

im looking to change my flywheel.. i was originally going with JWT lightweight flywheel with stock clutch. i was looking at other flywheels.. and i came across this one. does anybody have this flywheel? it promises up to 20 hp, but realistically its probably like 8? if anybody has any info, please lemme know!

um...honestly never heard of it before. it looks like any other aluminum flywheel, except it has 4 different "clutch plates" you can swap out instead of 1 (like some others do...)

i'm not sure about flywheels adding HP. true they save weight, but some people seem to think having a heavy flywheel gives it momentum....i would say it's safe to say a lightweight flywheel would add some power to some area of the RPM band

RPS is a good brand, but I would not change away from my JWT. The lightened flywheel helps your engine rev quicker, there is noticible low end power, but that diminishes in the upper RPMs.

IMO the JWT flywheel is one of the best around.

just my .02 cents

this would follow the "less rotating mass" that some people seem to say. you would feel more power down low b/c there is less mass to move, but once it gets moving, there is less inertia so the power gain is less b/c the engine has to work harder to spin it

Every 1 pound of rotating mass is like taking 9 pounds off of your car when it comes to acceleration. There is a rotating mass to horsepower ratio as well, but I forgot it. Thats probably where they came up with the 20whp.
