Default Mobile 1 Extended Performance

Hey guys
Have anyone try this oil yet?
Any review? or thought?
They claim the oil should last longer than a normal oil. What do you think?
Thanks.

I actually put mobile 1 extended performance in my car last oil change. I've had about 4000 miles on it so far and my car still runs smooth. It's much better than the mobile clean 7500 that I used the oil change before that.

or

changing your oil at 3k miles rule of thumb = big consumer rip off, could it be that oil companies/auto maker perpetuate this to make more money... just a thought

modern synthetics are more than capable of lasting well over 5k miles unless they are put through extremely harsh conditions.

Check out blackstonelabs.com and have oil analysis performed after changing your oil and it will still be chemically fine and with in spec. Plus you can find out what type of metals are in your oil and their concentrations (aka engine wear).

changing your oil at 3k is throwing money down the drain IMHO...

$20-$30 every 3k miles is worth the peace of mind. This is even more important if you're running FI of any sort.
