New UR pulley now belt is squealing

Unhappy New UR pulley now belt is squealing

I have had the UR pulley installed for 3 weeks now had to purchase 2 new surpentine belts the widest one is squealing bad but it is not lose or too tight...what do I do ?? buy different more expensive belts?

The belt probably just stretched. Retighten it. What brand belts are you using and what size?

Thanks it was the belt stretched, took it back to the garage he put a shorter one on and it is perfect.

new belts will always stretch and need to get retightened once or twice.

yup i agree. the belts i got for my UR pulley were goodyear gatorbacks with 500 miles on them. after installing them they were tightened and no squealing ever since.
