10 years ago, I changed the oil in my 92 Civic Si after it was broken in to Mobil 1 and I swore I had a new car!! Maybe it's the oil.
Hard to belive oil would boost performance by 12 hp but hey there must be a reason most Le Mans sportscars, Indy and F1 cars run synthetic right!? I've just crossed 3000 mi and I'm going to Mobil 1 when I change, I plan to dyno (w/ Pop Charger) before and after I install a Y-pipe I'll report back then but I think it's your break in method and the oil....
Whe i was breaking in I went nowher near redline either.... I know it's not the same but I race Nitro RC cars and the break in is EVERYTHING on an egine. How different could it be scaled up?
