you guys got me waiting.... i do want to stay NA simply because its more "reliable" and i do want to have my car rev to 7.5-8rpm and still making power. Now that is very enjoyable.

We want to hit 300 with the only major engine modification being cams.
Personally I am not opposed to upping the compression and making the car N/A nasty but just taking a slow yet logical progression. Thats just me tho.

well Mike's car is an '03, and is just one example...there are/were a couple others as well. Remember, just because its not on the forums, doesn't mean it doesn't exist The other 2 I know of are both '04's, with bone stock bottom ends.
There will be more soon as well, I promise (all '03 and '04, as I personally don't have any '05 and up customers going into their motors)

I think 300rwhp is definetly attainable with all the bolt ons, a tune and cams. I remember a thread with a few people hitting 300rwhp and many right on the borderline... And this isn't with crazy cams either. Things I'm looking forward to:
More Cam selection from shops we know (JWT, Crawford Z).
More long tube headers.
A new intake manifold that replaces upper and lower plenum, that actually makes decent power.
ITB kits that come with everything you need minus a standalone.

G I Love My Car - I don't want to spill the beans as both are customers of ours, and enjoy their stealth status, but they all had what you would expect: cams, headers, lots of porting, intake, one had a revised plenum (lots of porting and mods here), one had a new plenum, test pipes. Both had Tomei 268's, and both run F Con's. Valves remained stock, bottom ends remained stock.
My intention is to do it on my car with high flow cats, as I refuse to run test pipes for noise reasons. Our other Z might run test pipes...that is up to him

I have crawford hiflos but we removed them in order to tune with 114 race gas, no I know that tuning with race gas is almost like NOS, but I am very hopeful that we will cross or touch the 300 mark with headers, 114 and a good tune on the EU, I went from 261 to 272 with just the EU tune, so like I said I HOPE we will come close

We have variations of 292's, 280's and 265's in different configurations in 3 different cars. I cant say anything else about the setups. I can tell you I run the milder setup out of the 3 cars and its still more radical than the nismos and JWT. I have seen no issues or CEL's in the 8 months I have had them. Cam timing has been modified on all the cars with good results.

Unfortunately 300whp isn't much nowadays.

yeah 300 to the wheels isnt that much anymore but hey, im not in no pissing contest here. I think 300 is good enough for mostly daily driving and once in a while spirited driving. I mean i would definitly want power if i had more free time on my hands but right now I can barely enjoy my day offs without having to run some errands. If i had more free time i'll be at the road course doing laps and wanting more power but as for now... im pretty contempt with 300 to the wheels and a higher redline. You dig? =)

what do you mean 05's and up? I thought the 05's still has the 287hp motor, same as the 03, 04's and the 06 has the rev'ed up 300hp motor. Correct me if i'm wrong, been a while since i've been on this forum again. My older car was a G35 and since my accident i've stopped checking up with the details of the Z's.
