i havnt heard much about borla headers

i personally want some strup headers, ive heard lots of good things

check this quarters issue of sport Z magazine and look at the plenum shoot out, that should help with your plenum question.

I can already tell ya your gonna get a lot of GO SEARCH YOU EFFING NEWB WANNA BE 350ZER!!! but ill go ahead and help ya cause im bored and want my post count 1 notch higher for no apparent reason...

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=164411
headers on sale, nice headers and not over dificult to install just lengthy

I would go with a plenum spacer from motordyneengineering.com 5/16th iso thermal spacer should be good enough and not as expensive as crawford and shows better gains.

As far as chips goes.... i would suggest a piggyback unit, like unichip is somewhat popular, or UTEC from forgedinternals.com is also very good for NA and SC (considering if you go that route later on)

Hope this helps

I wouldnt deal with kinetix really, but thats me. The best bang for your buck with the plenum is like I said the 5/16" motordyne iso thermal spacer, besides it wil save you 60 bux over competitors and it gives WAY better gains. So your getting more hp/tq for the money your saving. I quickly changed my mind from crawford to motordyne after the plenum shootout and realized how much better it was...

o and as far as strup being the best? i dunno never really seen a dyno chart of EVERY header on the market but they will be definately way better over stock. You cant go turbo with headers, just so you know, but you can be supercharged.

strup, alphawerks (same design as strup) and crawford headers (require minor adjustments i believe) work with a single turbo, or at least the TN kit

I really wish i could get those strups but im still reeling from my exhaust/y pipe purchase

well i cant s/c my car at all due to tha fact i dont wana worry nor dish out money for a blown engine...but how much hp u think i can get from Strup headers, motordyn spacer, and unichip wit my exhaust and intake? i really want to get up to 330hp atleast...maybe sum lighter wheels down tha line but i really wanna get all situated now so when the spring comes i can get everything and know what to get....

well each dyno will be different, but you can always goto each site and look up their charts and get an AVG of what you might see

motordyneengineering.com
http://www.partshippers.com/images/DYNO_350Z_Header.gif dyno chart on headers
forgedinternals.com (goto engine management, down at bottom is utec)
and the piggyback unit doesnt really give hp, it lets u self tune your car and free hp. Cant really explain it cause i dont have one but thats my take on it

oh i thought they wouldnt fit due to piping fitment... maybe i was wrong, either way id rather get turbo before headers or id buy the strup myself. I was about to for xmas, then starting reading post about fitment issues with turbos and that changed my mind

Do a Motordyne spacer, and save header $$$ for something else. Try a crank pulley---> Unorthodox racing. Then, dont waste $$$ on HF cats, just do test-pipes, resonated ones if you dont want rasp. And lastly, if you want an auto that will beat 80% of bolt-on 6 speed Z's do the 6 speed final drive swap. Do a search on that-it has helped some autos a few tenths down the 1/4. After you do more mods, dyno with air/fuel and check on that. You may not even need a re-tune, most likely if you followed my advice you will. At this point you can reflash the ecu, I recommend Technosquare, or spend $1000 and get a UTEC and have your car dyno tuned. You have the potential to run low 13's, you just have to choose your parts wisely

yeah i agree with alberto on the HFCS test pipe comment, i just installed my megan resond test pipes about 5 days ago and it was a big difference in low end, and sound was amazing and this is on stock exhaust, little rasp when coming up to 3500rpms but after it screams and i love it

btw the tps are only $149 shipped at http://i-m-racing.com/inmorerapi35.html
