For some reason I keep getting the CEL roughly 3-4 weeks after I reset the damn thing. No doubt it's from my test pipe install with the HELP method..

Anyway, just wanted to know what else the ECU does when the CEL comes on, other than throw a fault code? Does it adjust fuel and timing?

 

it depends on what the code is and if the ecu feels it needs to be in limp mode or not.
