Default Nismo 400hp pkg.

Just returned from my Dealer and he informed me that somewhere between April and June of this year Nismo is releasing a package the will generate aprox. 400 hp. This is not a turbo or SC kit. It will have an ECU upgrade along with additional parts.

Can anyone else confirm this from their dealers?

100+ horses without turbos or supercharger? Additional parts = 100 shot nitrous. LOL.

Sounds too good to be true.

Sory, as usual I beleive your dealer is wrong. NISMO just debuted their R-tune setup, which generates 340hp NA. We might be getting that in the states is thats what hes refering to.

I think in Dealer world, 301bhp rounds up to 400bhp.

Yeah, I doubt 400hp is possible without SC or Turbo, unless there is some serious N/A tuning going on, which would cost a tremendous amount of money. But 340 at the crank N/A sounds interesting anyway.

Well, my first inclination is towards calling BS on the 400 hp thing too. BUT, I do know that Nismo is releasing a racing version (not street legal) of the 350Z. It will be $75,000, has a 3.6L NA 450hp. So perhaps there is a streetable version of that. I believe I read that in Road and Track? It's been a couple of months, but it's definitely true.

Hmm, 400 hp without SC or turbo seems very difficult. Actually, 400 hp with either form of FI would be pretty good already.

I doubt any ECU/intake/exhaust/header combo would be able to accomplish that.

Seems like dealer ignorance again.

What happened to RxO? We did his unique skills again.

Andrew,

He just said "additional parts." That very well could include higher compression pistons, reworked heads, redesigned plenum, in addition to the I/H/E and ECU. I am not saying that they are going to do this. Just that their are a lot of "parts" that could help get towards that 400hp mark.

I was wondering where RxO had gone to as well. Has anyone seen him on any of the other sites?

Default Sure, just buy this car now.

Sure, just buy this car now. By July, we will have a nice upgrade for you to beat a Porsche 911, for just a small cost.

I can see the motto here.

sorry guys but i think that if u work the car with no turbos or supers u can get a hell of a lot of power coming out of the engine u jus need to know what pistons and cams and everything to go along with it to get then u slap it together and get way over 400 hp. increase piston pressure and change bore stroke port ur engine and ur done then obviously these damn jap cars need to have their ECU's mapped, then i'm sure ur done doing all the crap u want to do to em

Impul has a 3.75 liter stroke kit that bumps the hp to 320.
