Hi guys just wanted to know if some of you may know whats happening with my tranny. I kind of have an idea but dont really know.

I was driving my automatic TT Z and im at a red light it turns green and I take it out slow and when im around 3500 to 4000 rpm in 1st i punch it but right a away my car start to studder a little and i let go of the gas and put it in second then i punch it again in second and it does the same so i let go but when i let go it makes a big clamp and when i get to the next red light i take it out in Drive and it shifts perfectly fine. I dont really know what to think of it only that its tranny slippige if you know please give me advice.

 

well it doesent sound like its slipping because you said when in drive its fine.just for the hell of it try a ecu reset,i dont know if this will help but it cant hurt,without driving the car myself its almost impossible to figure out what it might be.good luck

 

Yea but when i punch it in triptronic mode it slips but i dont punch it in AT mode

 

Sounds to me like your wheels are loosing traction and are hopping.

 

Punch it in AT mode and see what happens. From what it sounds like, it drives fine in Tiptronic or Auto mode as long as you don't punch it. Punch it in auto mode as well and see if it does the same thing.
