J/K that's about the right price. If you shop around you might save a hundred bucks or so. Just call different shops to find out.

For just changing the motor?????? You guys would pay $1650???? I have a shop here in Houston. We don't do performance work but we do general repair and installs. We install V6s for $500. I have charged as little as $350 for the job. Unless he's installing a bunch of other stuff with it (like a TT) I don't see how he could ask that much. I don't see the job taking more than 10 hours max. We could probably knock it out in 5-6 hours. I have customers crying about the $500 and you guys would pay $1650. I hope to see some guys like you running around here.
