Default 350z swap engine???

i bout an engine and modified it. so, know i want to swap my stock VQ with the modified-one.

but, my performance shop that i deal with, he tolled me that " for just swaping the engine it will cost you 1650K"

what i need to know is that a good price or too much

please help i donot have any idea about the labor her

i'd say over a million for an engine swap is a bit too much, go with a veyron instead.

Nah, a million actually sounds about right. Thats how much i got mine done for. Its pretty standard price.

the shop gave me all the paper's that proof it will cost that price, but for me i don't think it's for real cost that much. so, that why i made this post her, to know what dose it cost for real

depends on the car... and the motor. swapping k20a RSX motors into civics costs about 8-10k installed. putting a b16 in a hatchback will cost around 3-5k. so it depends. why dont you just modify your existing VQ? something wrong with it?

no, because if any thing goes wring with it i will re-install my stock engine.
the modified engine i bout it used for good price.

thing is just pull the engine and put another one. that's it

you gave me a good idea though... i will buy 5 transmissions and 5 engines. if my current transmission is screwed up well hey... i got 5 more!!

no, am not saying it easy or any thing i just want to know how much it will cost.
if the price the shop gave me is fare or not that what am trying to know from you guys?

no, i just want to make around 550-600whp for now.
the engine i got is capable of 750whp.

Engine swapping isnt that hard, the hard thing is tuning and making sure its holding under pressure

am not worry that much about the tuning, the shop I'm dealing with is expert in tuning.

I took me 4h to remove my engine, will probobly take atleast 6h putting it back, so 10h or less time wise.

That's a fair price. The "book" says it's a 22 hours job, and I guess your guys are charging $75/hour. I'm about to have my engine swapped and I got a quote of about 25 hours (a little higher because of some extra mods).

1650 is a fair price for an engine swap. its not as easy as you think.

and for gods sake man, proofread what you are writing.
