UTEC is my way to go but lets compare it with Technosquare Reflash

Features:

FUEL: Fuel Map *
IG: Ignition Timing Map *
SPD: Speed Limiter x
REV: Rev limiter *
BL: Boost Limiter *
BC: Boost Control *
VTC: Variable Timing Control ?
TPS: Drive By Wire Adjustment * not so sure about this one

* Avaialble on UTEC
x NOT Available on UTEC

Speed Limiter is not a big issue for me but,
is the UTEC capable of changing the Variable Timing Control ?

Here is the price breakdown, and I added in labor costs, and list typical street prices to make it apples to apples:

UTEC NA Setup (Assumes you are normally aspirated)
UTEC $979
Labor to mount the UTEC under the dashboard: 1hr (maybe $79?)

Emanage Ultimate Setup:
EU: $500
Harness: $100
AutoSport: $298
Wiring Labor: $250

For an NA car, both the EU and UTEC are roughly the same price. The UTEC offers superior engine control and knock feedback.

The novice tuner might find the EU more user friendly, but after playing with the UTEC for a couple hours, you'll get the hang of it.

Someone asked earlier, if the EU can raise the rev limit. Yes it can, but its not a straightforward as the UTEC.

Quick question, if I already reflashed my ECU with TS, is still possible to hook up an UTEC or EU and do some more fine tuning on a dyno?

I have had some question on this also. Mainly, is there a way to collect information about the current timing and fuel mapping before allowing the UTEC or EU to take over? Basically I would like to hook up a UTEC or EU, collect some data with the TS Reflash program still in control, then us that as the base map and tune from there. Is this possible or do you automatically have to load a base map?

Yes. You can connect the UTEC and run MAP #0 which is essentially the stock ECU program, with the UTEC running dormant. Then you can datalog and monitor your stock ignition timing, and other parameters, for use at a later time.
