Default camber kits. need people to show intrest

okay i just recieved a response back from ingals about them possibly putting out a camber kit. heres the email response
we need to show them that deman is high and if they could produce a cheaper kit than the camber plates that we would be intrested. kit would probably cost right at 150$ for the rear if it was produced and i'll have to check the front suspension to see what they would need to use. send him emails and bug him please. also post here if you are intrested.

Demand is not high right now. Send pictures anyways and I will forward them
to the engineer.

Subject: camber kits for 350z

are you planning on putting out a camber kit for the 350z? i was looking at
the suspension the other day and noticed how easily a kit could be made. i
use to own a 2002 rsx-s and used your rear end kit if you guys could make a
kit similiar to that to replace one of the tie tods in the rear that would
be awesome. any ideas? as of now our option is a 400$ camber plate and i
know that a kit could be made cheaper. if you need pics i can take
them.

People keep talking about camber plates. I have always thought those were strut adjustments, not for multilink stuff like we have.

I thought we'd have to have an adjustable upper control arm to do what is needed.

Am I confused?

Mannish,

You are correct. We need adjustable upper A-arms.

Perhaps we should explain why a camber kit would be beneficial to a 350Z owner. Then maybe more people would be interested.

doesnt the RSX have mcphearson struts? that would be quite different from the Zs dual wishbone suspension. not sure how camber kits could be made similair then.

Doesn't Nismo already offer an adjustable upper arm for the 350Z? I seem to recall seeing it somewhere on the net.

i'll have to take pics to show you where they will manufactuer the bolts.

if you take the rear wheels off and are on the passenger side facing the car to the right is one of the bolts. if you lengthen that bolt it will give the wheel negative camber. if you shortern it it will give it positive camber. this will allow you to set the car at 0degrees which would be ideal for traction in the 1/4 and it would also allow you to set more negative camber for cornering.

this would also allow you to correct the camber once the car is lowered. lowering creates excess negative camber making your wheels look like / \ instead of like | |. or for those who want more ground clearance you can add more positive camber. our camber stock is pretty negative as you can see from the rear of the car. this kit would also help with aligments to special specs.

get why this would be beneficial now? the camber plates off the same type of adjustability but are located at the top of the shock tower and are 430$ for the rears and 430$ for the front. if we express enough interetst ingalls will make the kit for our car for around 150$ rear and probably the same for the front. i've work with mcphereson strut suspensions and i've also worked with many doublewishbone suspensions. it would be a simple bolt in replacement. it would take maybe 15 mins each side to install.

hopefully that will answer most of your questions. if you are intrested please bombard todd with emails
