I swear the stock coolant gauge is stupid - no temp readings or hash marks or anything

So it goes from cold to hot and usually sits somewhere just under halfway when driving. So how hot is the coolant if it reaches "H"??

What about the hash mark right before "H"?


Just trying to figure out if Hot means 300 degrees or 280 degrees or what. I'm debating getting an aftermarket coolant gauge
