Default tranny probs

Hi everyone, I've had my Z now for like 3 years. i have the 03 Z and i only have like 6000 miles on it. i see that the 03 trannies have grinding issues in there future. should i go to my dealer and get it replaced with an updated tranny even tho i haven't seen any problems yet, just to avoid the future problems that may occur after the 5 year drivetrain warranty is up? also, while installing the new tranny, do you think they'd install me an aftermarket clutch and flywheel that i purchased? saves a crapload on labor charges.

Here's the thing...no dealer is going to replace you transmission if it doesn't have problems. In fact very few will replace it even if it does have problems, unless there is a significant grind. My tranny makes a bunch of weird noises, I've taken it to many dealers - they won't lay a finger on it unless it grinds. Hopefully you won't develop any problems down the road.

Good luck

yeah it sucks. Literally just got off the phone with NNA about this issue. My transmission grinds, but i couldnt replicate it for them at the time. Plus im a young guy, so i doubt they give me much cred when it comes to cars.
