while driving around in 1st and 2nd gear ive noticed if you cruise at a slow pace around 2500 rpms then take your foot of the gas and let the car deaccelerate down to around 2000rpms and push the clutch in, the tranny makes a banging sound. is this normal? the car is brand new 06 with 26 miles

 

bang noise? Isn't that a bit exaggerated, maybe more like a thud noise? If yes, that is normal.
