Question Voiding Warranty?

I am thinking of putting a JWT Pop Charger, Headers, and an Exhaust (the basic bolt-ons) on my Z to start off with. Down the road, I'll turbocharge it and stuff, but for right now, since the car is brand new, (800 miles,) does the intake, headers, and exhaust void the warranty? My previous car was a '99 Maxima, so I have no experience w/ performance parts vs. warranty... Any help would be appreciated :-)

it depends... if they are the cause of the problem then the dealership will tell you it is not covered under warranty. However, they have to prove that it was your part that caused the problem. I am dealing with a dealership right now over a plenum spacer causeing my car to die (there's a whole thread in repairing section), its getting complicated so I had to take it to an independent mechanic.

Those mods shouldnt cause you any problems, headers would be the most likely but if you have them installed by a mechanic i highly doubt they will cause a problem.

I'm fighting nissan over my exhaust they said that it made my timing chain break. so i would def ask the service manager if it voids your warranty and make sure you get it in writting you will feel alot better.

Yeah, I'm not even sure that the exhaust causing the timing chain to break makes sense? I don't know but thats what my new mechanic thinks happenned, we'll find out next week.

Do be warned, though, because the more mods you have the more they will try and stick it to you. My engine bay is pretty dressy, and i knew takin it in would not be good, but i didnt really have another option at that point. A lot of people have had the same experience that dealerships try and not cover things under warranty as much as they can because of modding. *****es.
