Honestly, it was your dyno of the revup collector on the 287 engine that tiped me off on putting the 287 collector with a spacer on the revup engine.
Your dyno plot above inadvertantly led me to figure out MREV before it was ever dynod on a REVUP engine!

What your dyno shows above is a loss of power just about everywhere exept the last few hundred RPM where it finally made ~10 HP. When I saw this, I had to ask myself, why did Nissan do this? IMO It did not look like a good trade.

A basic 5/16" spacer can easily make 10 HP or more and not lose TQ or area under the curve.

If a spacer on a 287 engine can make 10+ HP and not lose any TQ, it was reasonable to assume it would perform similarly on the REVUP engine if a 287 collector was used. IE somewhat similar top end and significantly improved TQ and area under the curve.

So when Andy dynod the MREV (287 collector/spacer) on his revup engine his results were quite remarkable... but also predictable. (See his plot below.)

You both pre/post dynod on the same machine and you both had similar deltas. If you extended your dyno plot out another 500 RPM it would be almost indestinguishable from Andys.
The only significant differences between yours and his are that his engine revs up to 7K and has he the variable exhaust cams. And it appears the variable exhaust cams with the MREV set up makes even more TQ and area under the curve than the 287 engine. Andys max MREV TQ is quite a bit higher than the 287 engine. This makes the MREV look like a very, very good mod for the REVUP.
yes, that one was my Z with only the plenum changed with a couple of other basic bolt ons...

the other dyno plot is a totally different car...

I did not say that the mrev mod is a bad modification for the revup motor... and the plot I showed was on a 287 motor...
