Default what is "reflash"?

pretty self-explanatory huh

I got a few bolt-on on my Z, and I just wanna get the max output from all these parts. So, I call up intense motorsport and ask them, they said i could get a reflash. My question is that don't you need to buy those piggy back computer to tune the factory ECU? I thought that a reflash would just set the ECU back to factory setting?

Thanks for all the help in advance

I doubt the dealer wants you to remove your rev limiter. The dealer can update your ECM program if there is one available. But those aren't usually very performance oriented.

Terms are often interchangeable but...

ECU flash: sets several parameters of the ECU which may include timing, air:fuel ratio, rev limiter. The program is pre-set so its kind of a one size fits all tune. And no you do not need some sort of piggyback installed.

I knew what a reflash was, and plan on doing it, but after reading techno squares website, I REALLY want it now. Lots of good info there, and lots of cool features of getting the reflash, no more power drop off before redline!! No more top speed limit! (not try anytime soon, but cool to say )
